The Minnesota Housing Partnership periodically offers free trainings on various housing related topics through a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Trainings that have occurred in the past include:

  • Basic HOME and CDBG
  • Expert HOME and CDBG
  • HOME Rental Compliance Training
  • Environmental Review of the HOME Program
  • Subsidy Layering
  • Resale and Recapture Requirement
  • Staying HOME
  • Effective Written Agreements
  • Determining Income and Allowances in the HOME Program

The trainings provide public and non-profit agencies with the opportunity to educate staff members and stay current with HUD program requirements and the responsibilities of agencies and communities that receive HUD funding.  Trainings are typically one to three days in length, and are provided in a Twin Cities Metropolitan location, with some trainings also occurring in Greater Minnesota.
