Housing Policy Workgroup

On Tuesday, May 27, 2008, legislators convened a group of housing leaders to discuss opportunities to address housing needs in the 2009 session and beyond. The assembled group represented funders, developers, policy intermediaries, local government, lenders and real estate interests. The group was convened for two main reasons. The first is housing, as a critical resource to families and communities, is facing a crisis yet it is still not a priority for major political parties. The second is to develop a multi-year plan to address Minnesota's housing needs.

MHP has agreed to serve as the facilitator of the group.
