The federal government is the source of the majority of affordable housing resources for Minnesota and, as a result, Minnesotans have an important stake in effective federal housing policy. Minnesota Housing Partnership advocates for sound and well-funded federal housing programs and encourages others to take action on federal housing policy.
With an experienced team of technical assistance providers, MHP is a hub of knowledge on federal housing programs and the ways in which communities can leverage federal resources to advance key community development projects. MHP utilizes this expertise to:
Submit comments solicited by government agencies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of federal housing and community development programs.
Provide detailed insight to federal policy makers on the on-the-ground impact of federal regulations.
Support budget and finance reform efforts that positively impact affordable housing and community development efforts.
