The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) was founded in 1987 to meet the increasing needs of nonprofits. MCN is an association of more than 1,500 member nonprofit organizations formed to strengthen the state’s nonprofit sector, especially in regards to management, governance, and public policy. The MCN works to continually inform, involve, strengthen, and increase the capacity and effectiveness of nonprofits in Minnesota.

Since its creation in 1971, Minnesota Housing Finance has assisted more than 400,000 households by providing funding for a variety of housing needs. Minnesota Housing helps people buy their first homes or fix up their existing homes. They also help to build and fix up affordable apartments, single family homes, shelters, and transitional and supportive housing.
