The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) was founded in 1987 to meet the increasing needs of nonprofits. MCN is an association of more than 1,500 member nonprofit organizations formed to strengthen the state’s nonprofit sector, especially in regards to management, governance, and public policy. The MCN works to continually inform, involve, strengthen, and increase the capacity and effectiveness of nonprofits in Minnesota.

Minnesota Housing helps people buy their first homes or fix up their existing homes. Launched in December 2002, the diversity, inclusiveness, and affordable housing project, known as Changing the Face of Housing in Minnesota, seeks to correct the significant under-representation of communities of color in affordable housing processes and decisions in Minnesota.
