MHP offers a variety of funds to nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and other affordable housing developers located outside the seven-county Twin Cities metro area.

The MHP Funds program seeks to build organizational competence and support the development or rehabilitation efforts of permanent affordable housing.

The Loan and Grant Committee meets the first Tuesday of every even-numbered month to assess applications. Applications must be received a minimum of three weeks prior to a committee meeting in order to be considered for funding.

Fiscal Year 2010 Meeting Schedule:

• February 16, 2010 (application deadline: Feb. 2, 2010)
• April 6, 2010 (application deadline: March 16)
• June 1, 2010 (application deadline: May 11)
• August 3, 2010 (application deadline: July 13)
• October 5, 2010 (application deadline: Sept. 14)
